Tokyo designers are expanding their tweed variations for Spring/Summer 09 collection. From the classic no-collar jackets to casual clothing, such as vests and parkas have increased the tweed motif to a delicious variation of items. Freshness is achieved using bright outlines for lightness and balancing the length of items and its luminosity.
All these splendid items are a novelty in Europe. In the 08/09 Fall/Winter collection, the tweed jacket with nap insert, was released as the big hit of the season. Usually Spring/Summer tweeds have a mixture of materials like acryl, rayon and silk with a cotton base. The new mix of clear film and ramie yarn will provide a delightful coolness which is perfect for the summer season; spring candy colors or white based colors stand out.
