Barneys Japan opens its forth in Japan "BARNEYS NEW YORK" store in Kobe on March 4th that is also the first flagship store outside the Tokyo metropolitan area. On the opening occasion the BARNEYS NEW YORK will present a special collection.
At the moment there are three BARNEYS NEW YORK stores in Shinjuku, Yokohama and Ginza. Since the investment fund operated by Sumitomo Corporation and TOKYO MARINE Capital Co. Ltd purchased Barneys Japan it has created the concept of each new store and its location, this time the Kobe store is the first outside the metropolitan area. The Kobe store is located in Motomachi Kyuukyoryuuchi district on three floors (from 1st to 2nd floor) of the re-opened multi-functional building Kobe Motomachi Kyukyoryuchi No25 and there are presented a variety of goods starting with women's and men's clothing and sundries and ending with gifts and bridal goods.
Special collection designed by the super model Agyness Deyn will be presented at the store opening ceremony. On February 27, the special collection will be presented at "Kobe Collection" event by Japan and USA "BARNEYS NEW YORK" that operate a part of reforestation campaign. In its framework the money from each sold item will be donated to plant trees in China and Inner Mongolia.
