IPGI signed agreement with Italian ITTIERRE for exclusive import and sale of Galliano men's wear and accessories in Japan. The company has already started the import and sales of John Galliano casual line, ladies Autumn-Winter collection 09/10 that soon will followed by launching of the men's Autumn-Winter 10/11 collection. The company plans to open 10-12 shops on the main streets of Japan's major cities, department stores and sales corners in the fashion malls. It is expected to raise up to 0.5 billion yen (retail price) only from men's line sales in the first year and 1 billion yen in the coming three years.
YAGI TSUSHO Ltd. is starting the import and sales of the British brand Barbour Autumn-Winter 10/11 collection in Japan. For the Japanese market the company has also developed limited line and other goods in the collaboration with the designer, and expects to gain a profit of 0.5 billion yen in the first year and 1 billion yen in the coming three years from the sales in select shops and boutiques. Moreover, Barbour will continue the cooperation with A&F Corporation in Japan through YAGI TSUSHO Ltd. and will increase its sales in specialized stores and select shops.
Barbour was established in 1894 and became famous for manufacturing jackets and coats from oilskin waterproof cotton for fishermen, horse riders, hunters, bike riders, also the clothes were widely used by the British army. Nowadays the brand is very popular not only in the UK but also in Germany and North Europe.
